Headspace Allotment News
A lot of hard work is going on behind the scenes to help get the Headspace allotment ready for the young people who attend our Wellbeing Programme to visit and enjoy!
With the recent sunshine, bulbs are starting to make an appearance and hopefully the soil will dry out a bit so that we can start planting crops for the Summer harvest 🧅 🥕 🥔
🌷 Spending time in nature has been found to help with mental health problems such as anxiety and depression
🌷 Being outside can improve our ability to focus
🌷 Studies have shown that our minds and bodies relax in a natural setting which increases feelings of pleasure and can help us concentrate more effectively
The sooner we can take our groups up to the allotment, the sooner we can provide an amazing space to help improve mental health and wellbeing for the young people we work with.
